December often arrives with a full calendar. Many of us are closing out year-end projects, finalizing plans for 2026, and balancing those responsibilities with time set aside for friends and family. It can be a hectic stretch, and we appreciate how much thought and effort go into this balancing act!

Founder & CEO
As you look ahead to the new quarter, this is a good moment to share that our Universal Course Catalog rollout pricing remains available through the end of December. If you have remaining learning budget or are aiming to start 2026 with ready-to-launch training options, these courses can be implemented in less than a week. They offer a simple way to expand or refresh your programs without adding extra strain to your team.
Looking back on 2025, we’re reminded how much can take shape in a single year when learning professionals, associations, and institutions move forward together! This year brought steady momentum and meaningful progress, shaped in large part by the trust and collaboration of the clients and partners who work with us. Your willingness to share goals, challenges, and ideas has helped us refine our services and expand offerings.
This reflection is more than a summary of what we accomplished. It is a chance to acknowledge the people and organizations who made this work possible. Thank you for your confidence in our team and for the many ways you contribute to the future of learning.
Our Partnerships
Our partnerships with professional associations have grown in meaningful ways this year. It has been a privilege to collaborate with so many organizations that are investing in professional development for their members. Together, we’re designing learning experiences that elevate skills, strengthen community, and create new pathways for revenue and growth. Seeing these programs make a real difference in people’s careers is one of the most rewarding parts of our work.
Quality Matters This year, we also deepened our commitment to instructional excellence by becoming a certified Academic Service Company with Quality Matters®. Our team now includes certified higher ed master reviewers and a certified QM coordinator, enabling us to support both institutions and associations as they enhance their online courses using the QM framework. It’s an important step forward in helping our partners deliver courses that serve today’s learners.
Training Magazine Award We were honored in August to receive recognition from Training Magazine for Custom Content Program Development. This award means a great deal to us. Decided entirely by learning and development professionals who purchase or influence the purchase of training solutions, it affirms our core purpose of creating learning programs tailored to the needs of our clients.
In June, we rolled out the results of our partnership with the Texas Society of Association Executives to develop their first self-paced and fully online Certified Association Executive study course. The three-hour video-based program is designed to help prepare for the CAE exam and is open to all individuals to participate in.
Sponsorships and Conferences
We have immensely enjoyed our opportunities to sponsor events and actively participate in many learning industry conferences and association annual meetings. These opportunities help us stay connected to the conversations shaping the future of education, professional development, and training.
A few highlights from our year of webinars included Bradley A. Davis from IACET, who shared insights on aligning online training with learner goals; Mark Wallach from Engagement Mobile Strategies, who discussed equitable online training; and author Janet Lee and Dr. Kristen Stevenson, who shared insights on adult literacy and learning strategies to remove barriers to success. These discussions reminded us of the strength that comes from sharing expertise and learning together.
Thank you for the trust and collaboration you’ve shared with us throughout the year. Your commitment to learning and the communities you serve continues to inspire our work and guide our priorities. As we step into 2026, I look forward to building on this momentum together and supporting the growth and possibilities ahead.
Happy Holidays with Warm Regards,
From the Team at eLearningDOC

Playing to Learn: How Game-Based Mechanics Boost Motivation
Ever cruised through an online compliance course after a long workday—and found your mind wandering halfway through? Let’s try this: imagine the same course, but now every section is a “mission.” You unlock scenarios, score points for sharp decisions, and watch a progress bar nudge closer to “mission complete.” Suddenly, what felt like a chore turns into an adventure. You’re hooked—not just by fun and games, but by real motivation to finish strong.
That is the promise of game-based mechanics in learning design: it does not just make learning “fun,” it helps people stay motivated, persist through challenges, and see meaning in the work they are doing.
Learners of all ages can benefit from engaging, game-based approaches, but the way they respond hinges on age and underlying educational philosophy. This distinction takes center stage in the concepts of pedagogy and andragogy, which shape how designers should approach motivation, feedback, and reward. Take a look at our recent blog for the complete story and examples.
